    What We’re Looking For

    We have an opportunity for an experienced customer service professional to join our accounts receivable (A/R) team.  Our account services representatives build relationships with our clients’ shippers and brokers and make sure they are able to meet their obligations to Apex and our clients.  Specialists are typically the first ones who are aware of any debtor payment issues that need to be managed. This position will be full time hourly Monday – Friday at $16.50/hr.

    Opportunity to Excel

    Our account services specialists provide a valuable service to our clients and other Apexers by staying in touch with the accounts payable departments of our debtors.  When invoices start aging or invoice issues are uncovered in other departments, our AR specialists come to the rescue.  By staying involved with their own portfolio of debtors, they can resolve real problems and keep Apex on track for success.

     

    Our best account services specialists are good at connecting with people and negotiating the systems they’ve put in place to do business.  They can relieve potentially uncomfortable situations by considering the needs of everyone involved.  If you’re a pro at delivering top notch customer service, persuading people to see “the big picture”, and smoothing out conflict then you might be our next Apexer!

    We want people who are fluent in English and Spanish, have been successful in an inside sales or customer service role and have a high school diploma, with some college work preferred.  Previous experience with trucking, logistics, or accounts receivable is a big plus.  Applicants need to be able to use a computer (you’re probably on one right now) and have good telephone etiquette, problem solving and mediation skills, and personal accountability.  People who are looking for a typical collections or call center experience need not apply – we want to build relationships, not harass people into submission.
